People Need to Respect Irfan Junejo’s Decision to Quit Vlogging

He is human after all.

Irfan Junejo

Irfan Junejo recently announced that he is going to quit vlogging, in a video titled ‘I Quit‘. Fans took to social media to express their grief and concerns. Although Irfan mentioned he is quitting to focus on his health, others made assumptions he quit because he did not receive an award at the PISA 2020.

Here’s a quick recap for those of you who still aren’t familiar.

Being nominated for the Pakistan International Vlogger Award is a big deal, but Mr. Junejo did not seek votes through his social media. So it sounds a little naive that people would assume him quitting has anything to do with him not winning, to begin with.

However, it seemed like most people needed further endorsements to buy his justifications.

Irfan posted a brief story on Instagram saying

No award show has anything to do with my decision.

Mr. Junejo, who despite going through self-esteem issues and a dark path, still maintains his transparency and honesty for all the fans who love and support him. Giving further explanations that his decisions are based on his health concerns.

He also says that he will be back, but with content different than daily vlogging; especially content that brings him joy.

Given his Twitter bio that says “I don’t use Twitter anymore. It’s a dark scary place.” and the statements in which he admitted he doesn’t like socializing anymore, it sounds like a good idea to take a break and find what his heart truly desires in terms of his career. An artist, no matter how good or bad, needs solace to create bigger better things.

While some people still aren’t sure of his motives and intentions, a majority of the public support him and wish him nothing but the best. Some are also assuming this break is for the purpose of working on short films, which is… great?
