Petition To Ban TikTok Filed in Peshawar

Do you think it should be banned?

Ban TikTok Pakistan

TikTok has been a source of entertainment for many for quite some time now. However, there is been a huge debate over whether or not that app should be banned in Pakistan. A man recently took matters into his own hands as he took the case to court.

The petitioner has filed a case against it in Peshawar High Court, requesting a ban on the Chinese video-sharing app. He has presented his case, saying that this app promotes vulgarity and pornographic content.

Before taking matters to court, he also reported his concerns to PTA and PEMRA. However, his request was denied and the authorities did not ban TikTok.

Is TikTok ban the answer?

While many argue that the social media app has been making obscene content available for underage kids, we believe any and everyone with a phone and internet connection can find that kind of content elsewhere.

PTA has also issued a warning for TikTok, asking them to remove and block inappropriate content for viewers from Pakistan. They have asked them to oblige with the country’s laws and regulations.

We hope that TikTok takes these matters into consideration and acts sooner rather than later. Many social media influencers in Pakistan depend on Tiktok to earn their daily bread.
