The YouTube star is looking to recuperate.

Whats it like to work consistently without taking breaks? Well, thats a feeling most of us are familiar with. Sometimes, as you can imagine, non-stop work ends up taking a toll on your mental health.

This is true for social media celebrities in general. Their job requires them being in the spotlight of audiences and media. On top of that, what if you were the biggest YouTuber on the planet with 100 million+ subscribers?

Pewdiepie (Felix Kjellberg) has been consistently uploading videos on YouTube for a decade (10 years) without long breaks. If you count the number of days in a decade, that’s approximately 30,525 days.

Pewdiepie recently announced that he is taking a break from YouTube in 2020. And after working consistently for 10 years, he deserves it. A rational decision, after the media fanned the flames on baseless accusations regarding Pewdiepie.

“I am taking a break from YouTube next year.I wanted to say it in advance because I made up my mind. I’m tired. I’m feeling very tired, I don’t know if you can tell,”

When Pewdiepie dropped the announcement, many media outlets spun the narrative whirlwind style and catapulted the story into a frenzy. Apparently a lot of reports went on to say that the star has ‘quit’ Youtube.

Some outlets also made mention of the allegations of antisemitism and racism he faced for most of 2019.

Felix had a response for this. And of course he made a video about it, pointing out the absurd headlines.
