Pakistani film Pinky Memsaab is set to screen at the UK Asian Film Festival (UKAFF).

The movie will be screen at the UKAFF’s closing reception on April, 6, 2019. The screening will be held at the Courthouse Hotel Shoreditch, London.

The UKAFF website broke the news. This one night gig will start off with the screening, followed by a Q & A session with the cast.

“Join the UK Asian Film Festival in celebrating the closing of our 21st Revolutionary anniversary with a special screening and Q & A of Pinky Memsaab.”

The movie didn’t have such a great turnout when it was initially released in Pakistan and Dubai in December, 2018. The feature film was later screened at a wide range of events.

About Pinky Memsaab

Shazia Ali Khan’s debut film does grow on you after a while. The Dubai based film-maker made this movie about life in Dubai. The movie’s protagonist is Pinky, a maid in Dubai who is working to support her family.

Pinky is played by actress Hajra Yamin. Other key roles include a Dubai-based writer-socialite Mehr played by model-cum-actress Kiran Malik; a rich banker played by Adnan Jaffer, and a driver played by Indian actor Sunny Hinduja.

Model-cum-actress Kiran Malik is probably the most excited about the UKAFF screening. The actress took to social media and personally call out friends and family to come to the event.

“A chance for my friends and family in the UK to come and show their support to their local girl. Book your tickets for the 1-night only screening in London.”
