Actor Vin Diesel makes the announcement of another Fast & Furious film in the works. Actress Brie Larson is the latest addition to the “family”. Meanwhile, netizens groan, begging the producers to end the franchise already.
Remember when Fast & Furious was a simple story revolving around street racing? Since its inception in 2001, the franchise has warped into a bizarre action series full of over-the-top set pieces. The original street racers and mechanics, like Dominic Toretto (played by Vin Diesel) and his “family”, are now some sort of superhuman mercenaries.
Each new chapter of the film delivers outlandish ‘car stunts’ that defy gravity and common sense. The Fast & Furious franchise is its own cinematic saga equivalent to Star Wars. And it looks like it is not over yet.
Vin Diesel took to his Instagram to announcement Fast & Furious 10 is in the works! This time around, actress Brie Larson joins the “family”.
“Yeah yeah yeah… you see this angel over my shoulder cracking me up, you say to yourself ‘That’s Captain Marvel,’ Vin wrote in the caption. “Clearly, there is love and laughter in this image. What you don’t see, however, is the character you will be introduced to in Fast 10.”
At this point, fans are done with the franchise. People took to social media to troll the announcement, asking Vin Diesel to give it a rest and move on.
