Pushing The Envelope – Humayun Saeed Wants To Make A Film Like Netflix’s ‘Marriage Story’

Actor Humayun Saeed expresses desire to make a film like Netflix’s Marriage Story. The London Nahi Jaunga star wants to “push the envelope” of Pakistani cinema with an offbeat project.

Humayun Saeed is one of the most successful actors in the Pakistan entertainment industry. The actor has made it big with several blockbuster films over the years, including the recently released London Nahi Jaunga.

At the moment, Humayun Saeed is leading the revival of Pakistani cinema with his big box office projects. Recently, he sat down for an interview with a media outlet, expressing his desire to take Pakistani films to the next level. The 51-year-old has his own production house and wishes to make unique films that aren’t the usual rom/com, drama and action Pakistani audiences are used to.

“I would love to back a project that pushes the envelope — something offbeat like [Netflix’s] Marriage Story — but right now my focus is feel-good commercial cinema because that’s the only way to get the industry back on its feet,” Humayun Saeed comments.

Actor Humayun Saeed is enjoying the blockbuster success of London Nahi Jaunga. The film was a hit from the get-go, raking in 13.5 Crore within the first week of its release. However, the film itself got mixed reviews from cinema-goers.

We do hope, Humayun gets to make something like Marriage Story. Considering the film’s plot, a Pakistani remake is not a far-fetched idea. Who would like to see Humayun Saeed and Mehwish Hayat star in a Pakistani version of the Netflix original? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
