Aangan co-stars Mawra Hocane and Ahsan Khan are returning to our TV screens with HUM TV’s upcoming drama Qissa Meherbano Ka. The channel has released 6 teasers, introducing the characters and giving us a hint about the storyline.
The teasers of the drama suggest that it is story of ‘blind intense love, misgivings and despair’. Other than Ahsan Khan and Mawra Hocane, the cast of Qissa Meherbano Ka includes names like Mashal Khan, Khushhal Khan, Zaviyar Naumaan, Mohammad Ahmad, Ghazala Kaifi, Zeb Rehman, and Laila Zuberi.
The Momina Duraid production has been written by the acclaimed Fakhra Jabeen and is helmed by Deewar-e-Shab and Zebaish director Iqbal Hussain.
The first teaser introduces the character of Murad Ali which is played by none other than Ahsan Khan. The actor will be returning again with a negative character after he played Rashid in Qayamat.
Murad is a manipulative, cunning man. He himself states that the speed at which he changes his colors can even put a chameleon to shame.
Mawra Hocane, on the other hand, is playing the central character of Meherbano, a simple, loving girl who was married off as a sacrifice for an unfulfilled promise.
In the third and fourth teaser, we find out that Meherbano and Mehran (Zaviyar Nauman’s character) have a somewhat tense relationship. Their ‘forbidden love story’ suggests that they were about to get married, but circumstances seem to have drawn them apart.
It seems that she has accepted her circumstances, but characters like Mehran and Murad Ali will wreak havoc in her life.
The fifth and sixth teasers of the drama highlight the roles of Areej Mohyudin and model turned actor Khushhal Khan, who will play an important part in the story. While Khushal’s character seems to have a tussle of his own with Mashal Khan, while Areej is the younger sister of Meherbano.
