Quratulain Baloch has some serious concerns about the double standards of men in our society. The Humsafar singer took it to her social media and shared

“It’s interesting. Watching men walking towards a mosque to pray but almost majority of them couldn’t evert theirs eyes from staring at me.”

The country has its fair share of women-centric issues such as honour killing, harassment, rape, and slut shaming. There has been always the same reason highlighted that either the woman wasn’t dressed properly or her character was bad. But for men to lower their gaze hasn’t ever been highlighted or enforced. It is always pinned down on women.

Baloch thinks that despite going for a prayer men could not restrain from staring at her. She is confused because men are always ready to wage a war against women but when it comes to them there is no law or rules!

Quratulain Baloch is a Pakistani American singer-songwriter. Also known as QB or the Humsafar Girl, she became popular for her title track “Woh Humsafar Tha” in Hum TV’s blockbuster serial Humsafar.

Her singing career started with her cover of Reshma’s “Ankhian Nu Ren De” in 2011. She came into the limelight when she featured alongside Jal in the song “Panchi” as part of season 4 of Coke Studio.

In 2012, she represented Pakistan in a live performance with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2016, she made her debut in Bollywood with the song “Kaari Kaari” in the film Pink.
