After blowing us away with her performance as ‘Nargis’ in Pehli Si Mohabbat, Rabia Butt has signed Kashif Nisar’s next project.
Kashif Nisar is an incredible director behind moving works like Dumpukht – Aatish e Ishq, O Rungreza, Ranjha Ranjha Kardi, and Dar Si Jati Hai Sila. As well as current fan-favorite Dil Na Umeed Tou Nahi.

In a recent interview with Something Haute, the model-cum-actress shared how she landed a role in Kashif Nisar’s next. She shared how she was on the fence about the role but her inner artist was also working on characterization.
“I was in contact with Kashif Nisar but I hadn’t said yes to the script because we were in talks over a few reservations. There were not big issues but I just think a lot about certain things. So, one day I was pondering over it and I thought about a Punjabi line of my character [in this said project] that I can add in it. The very next day I called Kashif Nisar and told him that ‘I haven’t said yes to you, but the person you lives within me has already came up with a line for that character. So, it means I am willing to do it’,” she said.
Rabi Butt made her drama debut with a supporting role in Aangan. She then played another secondary character in Yeh Dil Mera.

Although she did not play a lead character in Pehli Si Mohabbat, people fell in love with Nargis even with the limited screen time. Now she’s moving on to work with one of the finest directors in the industry.

“I will start working on it soon and I’m sure people will love it. It will be great to shoot in Lahore, close to home,” she said.
