Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, without a doubt, is the most talented and remarkable musician Pakistan has been blessed with. He has also shared his love for music with neighboring India and keeps giving us one hit after the other. Now, the star has garnered a well-deserved massive following on YouTube, making him the first Pakistani to hit the 5 million mark on the platform.
Khan started performing when he was 9, and then joined Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s qawwali group and toured the UK with his uncle. The 45-year-old’s Bollywood debut as a singer was marked with the song Mann Ki Lagan from the movie Paap.
The Sufi singer has not only won the public’s heart but also several different awards. Most recently, Khan was awarded a doctorate in music by Oxford University in the UK. Referring to his highly valuable contributions in the musical world, the university said:
