Ramadan Dramas To Look Forward To This Season!

With Ramadan just weeks away, another thing we can all look forward to is the dramas. So which drama serials can we look forward to now?

This has been a phenomenon on Pakistani television that has been around for ages now. It’s like we can’t remember a time when they weren’t a thing. Meanwhile, now the norm is usually, three Ramadan dramas every season.

Why three? Because there are three main private television channels, duh.

So what can we look forward to this year?

Chaudhry and Sons

Ramzan dramas
Chaudhry & Sons

The drama serial will mark the first time Imran Ashraf and Ayeza Khan will share the screen as an onscreen couple. Meanwhile, the rest of the Chaudhry and Sons cast includes Sohail Ahmed, Asma Abbas, Shagufta Ejaz, Irsa Ghazal, Noor ul Hassan, Yasir Nawaz, Saniya Shamshad, Madiha Rizvi, and others.

Suno Chanda writer Saima Akram Chaudhry penned the script for this Ramzan drama. First, she had Ayeza Khan play a comedic role and now, she’s having versatile artist Imran Ashraf do the same. He’s also playing a comic role in his film Dum Mastam, set for release on Eid ul Fitr.

This Geo Entertainment drama is said to be a thriller-comedy, directed by Syed Wajhat Hussain.

Paristan

Everyone’s favorite couple from Chupke Chupke ‘HaShi’, AKA Arslan Naseer and Aymen Saleem, is coming back this season with Paristan.

This Hum TV drama is written by Samra Bukhari and directed by Ali Hasan, Paristan cast many fresh faces including Merub Ali, Junaid Jamshaid Niazi. As well as old faces such as Javaria Saud, Mira Sethi, Navin Waqar, Asad Siddiqui, and Ali Safina.

Social media influencer Taimoor Salauddin AKA Mooroo will also make his television debut with the drama. He’ll be playing Zubaida and Amanullah with Mira Sethi – their famed roles from YouTube videos. Comedian Danish Ali will also make his TV debut with the drama.

Hum Tum

Another Hum TV drama, the Hum Tum teasers revealed is an Ahad Raza Mir drama. The Sammi actor will be sharing the screen with Ramsha Khan, Sarah Khan, and Junaid Khan as the two leading pairs. Other cast members include Muhammad Ahmed, Farhan Ali Agha, Adnan Jaffer, Uzma Baig, Arjumand Rahim, and Munazzah Arif.

Directed by Danish Nawaz of course we’re looking at a comedy. Meanwhile, Saima Akram Chaudhry also wrote this script, described as;

“A modern, humorous and Gen-Z rendition of a hate to love story between two youngsters.”

While fans wanted sequels to hit the Ramzan series from previous years such as Suno Chanda, Chupke Chupke, and Ishq Jalebi this is a pretty impressive line-up too. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below.
