According to family sources, Chef Zakir had been undergoing dialysis treatment in the United States, but doctors recently informed his loved ones that his condition was no longer treatable.
Choosing to spend his final days in his homeland, he returned to Pakistan about a month ago. His funeral prayer is scheduled to be offered after Asr tomorrow at Jamia Rashidiah in Malir Saudabad, followed by his burial at the Saudabad graveyard.
Born on February 16, 1967, Zakir Qureshi rose to fame through his immensely popular cooking shows on various Pakistani television channels.
