American-Barbadian pop star Rihanna is famous all around the world. Her superhits have put her in the spotlight in every country. However, she is now gaining attention from Indians for all the wrong reasons. The 32-year-old has upset BJP trolls with her Tweet in support of farmers’ protests in India. Now, netizens are asking her to ‘move to Pakistan’.
For those of you who don’t already know: Rihanna aka RiRi is an American singer who has been giving us hits since 2005. The singer has been a part of many controversies over the year, but nothing quite as such.
Rihanna Tweets in support of farmers’ protest in India
Despite providing livelihood to almost 70% of the Indian population, the Indian farming industry is deeply troubled. Despite promises made by the government, causes like natural calamities and huge debts have left the farmers in rage.
Due to all of this, farmers have taken to the streets to demand justice. However, the government reacted by cutting down the internet and police attacks. Of course, this did not sit well with the countrymen. And even international celebrities and activists have decided to not bite their tongues this time.

Netizens react
After Rihanna shared this Tweet, some Indians – specifically BJP trolls – seemed to have lost their marbles. They are accusing her of several things, including having ties with Pakistan. Is she originally from Pakistan? Is her real name Rihanna Malik Khan?

Let’s take a look at what everyone is saying:
My country is proud of our farmers and knows how important they are, I trust it will be addressed soon. We don’t need an outsider poking her nose in our internal matters!

I didn't hv time for Republic of Rihanna vs Govt. of India today (phew).
I will say GoI missed an opportunity to thank various US celebs for their interest in supporting Indian farmers & suggest they ask USG/Congress to give those farmers market access in the US (now restricted)

Nothing but propaganda…
From Day 1 this #FarmersProstest is making news for wrong reasons … First it was Deep Siddhu , then SFJ , then Jan 26 dishonouring of national flag & now this Rihanna , Greta Thunberg episode …At every step very less about farmers but more about breaking India & anarchy …

Kangana Ranaut vs Rihanna
Even Bollywood star, Kangana Ranaut, couldn’t hold back her ‘anti-India’ controversies. In a Tweet, bashing the American star, she wrote:
No one is talking about it because they are not farmers they are terrorists who are trying to divide India, so that China can take over our vulnerable broken nation and make it a Chinese colony much like USA…
Sit down you fool, we are not selling our nation like you dummies.
