Global star Irrfan Khan’s death really hit us all hard. Recently, his costar Saba Qamar opened up about regretting not staying in touch with the actor close to his death.
In a recent interview with PinkVilla, Saba Qamar expressed her regrets over not being able to remain in touch with her Hindi Medium co-star.
The Cheekh starlet revealed she was unable to stay in contact with the Life of Pi actor after his health started declining. Now she regrets not being able to call him before he passed away.
“I have that regret. After the film when his health deteriorated, I kept thinking that I will call him but I was busy with shooting and travelling so I couldn’t.”
Saba Qamar shared how despite trying to do so much with her time, time fell short when it came to connecting with someone she cared about. She mentioned that if she had stayed in contact with Irrfan Khan, she would have called him before his passing.
“Then one day I heard about him and I was devastated and shattered. That day I realised that one should avail the time they have, because that time never comes back.”
The Baaghi actress also advised people not to wait to tell people they care about how they value them. As time will always run out.
“If you want to apologize to someone, or express your love then just do it, as that moment won’t come back. So I have that regret that I wish I had called him, spoken to him, and would have been in contact.”
She also looked back fondly at her experience working with the late The Lunchbox actor.
“He was such a fine actor, a gem of a person, maza aa gaya unke saath kaam karke (I had great fun working with him). I have learned a lot from him.”
On the work front, the Bunty I Love You starlet is promoting her upcoming web series for ZEE5 ‘Mrs. & Mr. Shameem‘, opposite Nauman Ijaz.
