Who is the Genius Behind This Look?

The monochrome sari scripts a couplet from Surinder Kaur’s famous folk song Akhiyaan ch paavan kivein. Turns out, the song was selected by Saba Qamar herself for her custom printed sari by Rehstore.

For those who don’t know, Rehstore is run by model and actress Rehmat Ajmal. She paints each and every one of her lovely pieces by hand herself.

In an interview with Something Haute, the Meray Pass Tum Ho actress credited Saba Qamar for this artistic creation.

“This idea stemmed straight out of Saba’s creative mind. I always try to curate pieces that are as personalized and customized as possible. This particular piece is actually Saba’s own pick. Each word we read in books or hear in songs have stories behind them that are open to interpretation. I really enjoyed working on this piece for her.”

However, Saba Qamar’s look stands out the most with bold calligraphy. It is not only crafty and unique, but it is also a chic and classy style that suits her really well.

With a sheer, white blouse and hair tied back in a ponytail, the photoshoot came out just as we had thought – beautiful, clean, and skillful.

Perhaps, this could contribute to the latest trend in the fashion industry. Women would love to give out their messages by getting them printed on a sari. And it would look pretty cool too.
