Looks like Bollywood is running out original ideas as they once again look to make ‘desi’ versions of a Hollywood classic. This time, the beloved Harrison Ford franchise Indiana Jones is getting a Bollywood makeover with Salman Khan!
We’re guessing the inspiration came from watching one of Salman’s Big Boss episodes. After entertaining us with Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai, Salman Khan is all set to make a series based on Indiana Jones.
We should’ve seen it coming anyway, after all the film title already the word ‘Indian’ in it.
After having successfully delivered a number of action masala films, Salman wants to add his spin to Harrison Ford’s iconic archaeological adventurer in a three-part franchise. According to reports, the film will draw inspiration from the Hollywood franchise but will not be a direct adaptation. In the original, Harrison Ford is seen as a professor of archaeology who is an adventure freak, whereas Salman’s character is said to be ‘totally different’ in the film.

The other characters in the franchise are to be altered as well and Salman’s character will bear no resemblance with any of his trademark characters such as Chulbul Panday from Dabangg, Radhe from Wanted, Tiger from Tiger Zinda Hai and others.
So, we’re guessing no more mustache or shade? He will be seen leading a parallel life, one of them showing his adventurous side to break the monotony of his daily life. The film is expected to go on floors later this year.
Meanwhile, the veteran Bollywood action hero is juggling with 3 other projects as of now. He will soon be seen in Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai. The actor is also gearing up for Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali and Kick 2. Stay posted for more update about this new ‘Indian Jones’ franchise.
