The news outlet described the perpetrators of the road rage as armed ‘Molvi Goons‘ associated with Allama Zubair Ahmed. They even threatened to kill the female reporter.

Sidra Ghyas revealed that the men were headed the wrong way on the road and insisted that she reverse her car. Due to the construction of an underpass, only one vehicle could pass on the road at a time.

Even when she parked to the side to make way, the occupants of the other car were adamant that Sidra Ghyas reverse her car. When she couldn’t, this prompted the violent instance of road rage.

“We called 15 (police emergency contact) at 5:50 p.m. My office co-worker arrived shortly afterward. Despite calling the police, a quarter to an hour later police had not arrived at the scene.”

The men damaged her vehicle, and beat up her brother. They used threatening language and said they were influential people. When co-workers from Samaa News arrived to help, the ‘Molvis‘ had called up more people with steel rods to back them up.
