Sana Javed and Bilal Ashraf are brewing up romance in Qalamkar‘s Shadmani campaign. Other than their beautiful faces and gorgeous outfits, what makes it unique is the cute storyline behind the project.
Qalamkar is taking one step closer to unite fashion and cinema. Shadmani is not an ordinary campaign, in a sense that the actors narrate their romantic tale from a small boutique hotel, The Grand Peacock in Lahore.
While Sana Javed is on a trip to Pakistan to attend the wedding festivities of her best friend, Bilal Ashraf is an aspiring writer who is working on his first manuscript to be published. They run into each other while staying at the same hotel and while they are busy with their routines, their thoughts lie elsewhere.

“Bilal has always wanted to tell a story. A story that communicates emotions and experiences to people who read it. To finish his first ever manuscript, Bilal has escaped to an out of city boutique hotel (The Grand Peacock) to concentrate on his work and return his editor’s calls. Fueling himself with unlimited tea, he finds himself torn between his interest in finishing his story and his intrigue of this girl, always dressed for a wedding and never complaining about the busy weekend.”
“Sana has worked hard all her life. She has studied without complaint. Worked without break. Never sighed at the added pressure of her growing career. But in the past few years she’s lost contact with a couple of friends who she couldn’t be there for. Not because there was something wrong between them, but just that Sana’s never even had time for herself. This time Sana is taking her chance to redeem herself for not participating in the celebrations back home. Her travel for the Middle East back to Pakistan finds herself in banquets of several weddings and wedding dresses galore. But, for her amusement, there’a always a boy commenting on the number of wedding she goes to.”
