Who did Sarah Khan take inspiration from for the character of Meeral?

Sarah Khan’s character in Sabaat remains as one of her most iconic characters. The headstrong Meeral got a lot of attention from the public. In her recent interview, Sarah revealed that she incorporated her mother’s traits to carve out Meeral.

“The suits that you see me wearing in Sabaat all belong to my mother. She had a very unique style and I took inspiration from her to decide the look of Meeral’s character,” told Sarah.

She added that playing this character allowed her to dig deeper and it was truly a satisfying experience for her. “Playing a negative character was never a problem, however, Meeral was a very cool character hence she also received love from the audience. People liked her style.”

Marriage with Falak Shabbir

Shedding light on her personal life, Sarah shared that she met Falak at Bridal Couture Week and he had proposed to her backstage. ” My sisters Aisha and Noor were with me when Falak proposed me backstage. I refused because I was not ready for it but then he contacted my dad and my father handled everything from there on,” said Sarah Khan.

“My father made the best choice for me,” she admitted elatedly.
