Sarfraz Ahmed – A Profile
For those who are unaware, Sarfraz has captained Pakistan cricket team across all formats for over three years. He was appointed T20 captain in 2016 and was later given Test captaincy in 2017 following the retirement of Misbah-ul-Haq, who now coaches Pakistan.
During his tenure as a captain, the national team won the Champions Trophy 2017, and became the No. 1 T20 side. He was removed from captaincy in September last year after Pakistan’s early exit from the World Cup 2019.
The 32-years-old wicketkeeper-batsman also captains the Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Quetta Gladiators. They previously won the PSL 2019 trophy under his leadership.
