Her Parents
Savera Nadeem is the daughter of Shahid Nadeem and Madeeha Gauhar. Shahid Nadeem is an award-winning journalist, human rights activist, playwright, screenwriter, theater and television director.
On the other hand, Madeeha Gauhar had her roots in theater. She was a renowned theater and television actress, playwright and director of social theater and women’s rights activist. In 1984, she founded Ajoka Theate, a place where art performed as a medium to highlight social issues.
With Ajoka Theater, she performed in Asia and Europe. She passed away in April, 2018.

Savera’s Siblings
Savera has two brothers, Nirvaan and Sarang. Nirvaan Nadeem is a renowned writer, director and actor. After the death of his mother, he has become a core member of Ajoka Theater and has continued the legacy of raising awareness on social issues.

Did you know that actress Feryal Gauhar is directly related to Savera Nadeem? She is the sister of Madeeha Gauhar and is thus Savera’s maternal aunt. Feryal Gauhar is also an actress, writer and human rights activist.
