Islamabad United skipper Shadab Khan, instead of praying for his friend/teammate to rediscover his magical form, has prayed that Babar Azam and Saim Ayub get married soon.
In a viral PSL X video, Shadab revealed that during a visit to the Holy Kaaba, He prayed his teammates find a nice wife soon, so they can all have brunch together.
Chatting with Mushtaq Ahmed and Naseem Shah during a Peshawar Zalmi thrashing by Islamabad United, Shadab pointed at Babar, saying, “First prayer at Kaaba? His marriage!” Babar laughed it off with a “Haye yaar, no!” but Shadab doubled down, dragging 24-year-old Saim into the matchmaking mess. “It’s time for both!” he teased, while sparing Naseem, whose “shoulder and bowling aren’t working”.
This just goes to show what kind of mindset Pakistani players have nowadays, given how both Babar Azam and Shadab Khan have become a joke for their lackluster performances, and unmeritorious inclusion in the national side.
No longer are these players concerned or even bothered about working on their form, silencing the haters, and making Pakistan cricket great again. Oh no, they are more interested in gossiping around and setting each other up for matrimony.
It’s these little snippets of the cricketers that have made so many fans lose respect for the players and all hope of a Pakistan cricket revival on the world stage.
