After making waves with her collab with Ali Sethi, Shae Gill is set to release another track, this time with Atif Aslam.
The American Embassy in Pakistan’s YouTube channel shared a teaser for an upcoming Atif Aslam and Shae Gill collaboration on May 11.
The former Instagram cover artist will release Manzil, a song meant to promote COVID-19 vaccinations and booster shots across Pakistan. While it is a public service message-cum-track, the teaser makes it seem the song will offer a lot more.
The teaser feature actor Sarwat Gilani apparently playing a mom. Meanwhile Sarmat Khoosat is een as a director. As Shae Gill is spotted recording and goofing around and Aslam is seen and heard singing.
“The US Embassy Islamabad partnered with Pakistani Cannes-nominated film director Sarmad Khoosat to produce a new song promoting Covid-19 vaccinations and booster shots.”
Other details include;
“The song, Manzil, included Mohammad Hanif as the lyricist and Shamsher Rana, Varqa Faraid, Nimra Gilani and Ali Hamdani as producers and composers. Vocals were provided by internationally renowned singer Atif Aslam and Coke Studio sensation Shae Gill.”
The music video is set for release on May 14 at 6 pm.
