And the word is that the PSL 2022 anthem will be released next week!

PSL 2022

As we prep for Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2022, there’s one question on everyone’s mind. What’s about the PSL 2022 anthem?

So who will be curating the sports anthem for this year’s cricket tournament? Word has it that Atif Aslam and Aima Baig have been tasked with the job.

The Aaitish singer also lent her vocals to the PSL 2021 anthem titled ‘Groove Mera‘. That was more of a large collab between rapper duo Young Stunnerz, and classical singer Naseebo Laal.

This time around it seems the management opted for a duet. Reports state that Aima Baig is teaming up with Rafta Rafat singer Atif Aslam for the PSL 7 anthem. As for the composer, it gets even better. Electronic music producer Abdullah Siddiqui is composing and producing the sports anthem.

“We have tried to produce a song that captures the spirit of the game in a meaningful way, while still being very fun and catchy, … Getting to produce this anthem is a dream for any musician, and I’m very honored and thankful to the PCB for the opportunity this year.” said producer Abdullah Siddiqui.

Word is that the PSL 2022 anthem will be released next week through an event partner.

This marks the first time Atif Aslam created a sports anthem under the banner of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). According to a PSL press release, this year’s anthem is particularly focused on fixing the grum vibe due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The theme of the song is inspirational and motivational with the lyrics and music aimed at uplifting the mood of the fans and the nation as the world is passing through tough and testing times due to the Covid-19 pandemic.”
