Shah Rukh Khan May Play The Villain in “Kill Bill” Remake

Bollywood puts a desi twist to a Tarantino classic!

Bollywood is known for ripping off Hollywood classics and it comes as no surprise as filmmaker Nikhil Dwivedi, alongside director Anurag Kashyap, want to make a desi version of ‘Kill Bill.’

According to sources, the Indian filmmaker bought the rights to the iconic Tarantino film.

 

One of the most popular Quentin Tarantino films, it is anyone’s guess what the Bollywood version would look like. However, it has been reported that Shah Rukh Khan is expected to play the role of the titular villain that is Bill, played by David Carradine in the original Kill Bill Vol. 1 and 2.

Shah Rukh Khan in a Remake of Kill Bill?

Dwivedi is good friends with SRK, which is why he approached the ‘Raees’ actor play this key role. Khan himself is very interested in the project and is looking forward to working on it. The project is still in its early stages as the film’s main lead is yet to be cast.

Currently, SRK is working with Emraan Hashmi as producer for the espionage series called ‘Bard of Blood’ on Netflix.

Kill Bill Vol. 1 and 2 were classics that were beautifully directed and produced by Quentin Tarantino. With an incredible cast of stars like Uma Thurman, Lucy Liu and David Carradine, the question remains whether the Indian version will do justice to the source material. Nevertheless, it will be very interesting to see what kind of villainous character does ‘Don’ play in the Bollywood remake
