Three generations of the famous Bollywood Bachchan family have contracted the virus, according to reports. Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi also took to his Twitter account to wish the family a speedy recovery.
On Saturday, Bollywood legend, Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan were taken to the hospital because they were said to have mild symptoms. The two were tested positive and were admitted into the hospital.
The Gulabo Sitabo star took to his Twitter account to announce the news. He further asked everyone, who had been in close proximity to him, to get tested. He wrote:
I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited ..
All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested !

Later that night, Abhishek Bachchan also tweeted out a statement announcing that The Big Bull star has also tested positive for coronavirus. He wrote:
Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you.

Pakistani cricketer Afridi aka Boom Boom also took to Twitter to wish the family a speedy recovery.

It is important to note that the whole Bachchan family with the exception of Jaya Bachchan has tested positive for the virus. Even Aishwarya and her daughter tested positive for the virus.
Miss World pageant winner of 1994, Aishwarya Rai and her daughter are asymptomatic and will be self-isolating at home.
We hope the Bachchan family recovers soon and gets to reunite with the rest of the family.
