Shahid Afridi, the famous Pakistani international cricketer, recently revealed who he has in mind to portray him in a movie about his own life. And boy does he have some great superstar suggestions in mind! The retired cricketer-turned-philanthropist wants none other than Tom Cruise or Aamir Khan to play his role if a movie was to be made on his life.
Boom Boom has been busy helping the needy during the times of the coronavirus by providing them with ration bags and funds. He’s been on the go lately, even delivering rations in person. since he started the humanitarian work.
But, it seems he is now thinking of someone making a movie on him. And why wouldn’t they? Lala is a celebrity in his own right, no?

There is no denying that the famous cricketer, who made his name by hitting the most sixes in an ODI once upon a time, has a massive fan following. Some love his for his looks, some for his charisma, and some for him just being him.
However, do you think he has the presence or gravitas that a 3-time Golden Globe Award winner like Tom Cruise does? Lala does have fans in the billions but so does Cruise. If Lala is getting a Hollywood movie, he wants Cruise to play him as the flamboyant star he is.
Shahid Afridi once hit the most sixes in an ODI and the fastest century in a One Day International Match. He has also received the honorable Sitar-e-Imtiaz. What Lala brought to the game of cricket, there’s really no one like him.
Tom Cruise, on the other hand, has won 3 Golden Globe Awards and has countless other nominations and awards to his name. He is one of the highest-paid actors in the world.
But wait. What if his biopic was made in a local language? Does he have a desi actor in mind for that?
If we’re lucky, the biopic will be in Urdu, and Afridi says he wants the famous Bollywood star Aamir Khan to play his role. Aamir is one of the most influential and popular actors in Bollywood. And of course, we assume that Shahid Afridi doesn’t want to settle for anything less.
