Celebrity couple Sadaf Kanwal and Shahroze Sabzwari continue to get flak over statements supporting the patriarchy. Now the Hassad actor said the first motive of feminism is to make obscenity the norm.

The Nand actor made the statement towards a fellow panelist by asking her if she thinks that vulgarity has become the primary motive of feminism.

This isn’t the first time Netizens had to take a celeb back to school over the inaccuracy of their statements. Here we go again.

Previously, during the couple’s appearance on ARY’s Hamary Mehmaan, Sadaf Kanwal also completely ‘redefined’ feminism saying;

“One should consider her partner as her husband. His status should be higher because a man earns and spends on the kids. I also earn but that’s what I cannot compare with what he has to do for the family, … I feel feminism has set in, these people are liberals. Nowadays there are many liberals. They say that women, whatever you (the host) said. But as per me, in my thinking, feminism is that I take care of the man, my husband, respect him and do what I can.”

Feminism doesn’t stop women from being home-makers. It just demands that women should be given this as a choice they make for themselves. It should not be something forced upon them. Shocking incidents do reveal that not doing housework ‘right’ has led to women being killed in Pakistan.

Would it be so hard for everyone to be equal citizens as stated in the Constitution?
