Former Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar has denied all rumors of a biopic being made about him. Known as Rawalpindi Express, Akhtar took to social media to clarify that he is not aware of any future project in the works.
Shoaib Akhtar is one of the biggest sporting celebrities in Pakistan. Much like Shahid Afridi and Wasim Akram, the legendary speedster has a huge fan following all around the world. Renowned for his deadly pace, vicious yorkers and bouncers, Shoaib is considered as the fastest bowler in the history of cricket.

However, despite his immense talents, the Rawalpindi Express is also infamous for being one of the most controversial figures in the sport. From fiery attitude on the field to his disputes off the field, Shoaib certainly has had a very fascinating career – one that could make for a good biopic.
Shoaib Akhtar denies rumors of his biopic
Recently, many fans got excited over the news of a potential biopic based on the fast pacer, with names like actress Saba Qamar and actor/singer Ali Zafar being thrown around. However, unfortunately, these may have been just gossip as Shoaib Akhtar himself has shut down these rumors. Akhtar’s business manager, Taha Sadaqat, took to Twitter to state that all these rumors are not true.
All the news doing rounds about the film based on Shoaib Akhtar's life is not true. All this information is incorrect. No cast or actors have been decided or under discussion.

It is sad that all these rumors are untrue. However, we still hope that we get a chance to see a biopic about him in the near future.
