Former Pakistani fast bowler and cricket pundit Shoaib Akhtar took to social media to criticize Australia’s T20 World Cup celebrations. The ‘Rawalpindi Express’ is disgusted by the antics of Matthew Wade and Marcus Stoinis chugging beer from a shoe.
The T20 cricket fever came to a dramatic conclusion this Sunday. For us Pakistanis, our journey came to a heartbreaking end in the semi finals against Australia. The final took place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium between New Zealand and Australia.
Australia’s cricket team made history on Sunday by clinching their maiden T20 World Cup title in an emphatic fashion. The Aussies put on a clinic, showcasing exemplary batting against a very formidable Kiwi bowling attack. In the end, Australia was easily able to chase down a stiff total of 172.
All-rounder Mitchell Marsh was the star with the bat for Australia, making 77 runs. While David Warner got the Aussies off to a great start, scoring 53 off 38 balls. Marsh was named Player of the Match award while Warner was named ‘Player of the Tournament’ award.

Shoaib took to social media to share his displeasure of a viral video making rounds online. The video has Matthew Wade and Marcus Stoinis chugging beer from a shoe. The former cricketer said it was a disgusting way of celebrating a historic maiden T20 World Cup victory. Check out the video.
