The holy month of Ramadan is finally here and it is always lovely to see the world come together to wish everyone Ramadan Mubarak. From famous actors and entertainers to world class football players like Mohammad Salah and Mesut Ozil, it is a nice sentiment and gesture by the western society. Recently, a ‘Ramadan Mubarak’ came from the most unlikeliest character we could possibly imagine. SpongeBob SquarePants!
Yes! You heard that correct and no you’re not in the Twilight Zone.
In a surprisingly lovely gesture, the creators behind the immensely popular cartoon show of this generation decided to give their Muslim fans a little treat.
The creators took to their official social media account on Twitter to not only tweeted happy Ramadan but dressed up SpongeBob and his best friend Patrick in traditional middle eastern garments with a big banner that says “Ramadan Mubarak” Check it out:

The creators of the show were least bothered by all the hate and negativity. One famous Indian-American comedian Hasan Minhaj responded to SpongeBob’s lovely tweet with “Thank you, Brother SpongeBob”.
