In an unfortunate turn of events, Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his apartment on Sunday, June 14.
The Kai Po Che! star took his own life by hanging himself. Mumbai Police says that no suicide note has been found yet.
According to initial reports, he was battling depression for the past six months and the reason behind his suicide could be extreme depression.
His team released a statement on behalf of his family after his death, stating:
“It pains us to share that Sushant Singh Rajput is no longer with us. We request his fans to keep him in their thoughts and celebrate his life, and his work like they have done so far. We request the media to help us maintain privacy at this moment of grief.”
A few days ago, his former manager Disha Salian also committed suicide by jumping off her building. Her cause of death is also reported to be depression.

Sushant Singh Rajput, who started his career with taking up roles in Indian dramas, earned the best actor award at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne in 2017 for his biopic movie M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story.

Bollywood actors and Indian cricketers mourned his death, whereas, Lollywood stars also expressed their condolences.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s last movie Dil Bechara was was slated for May 8. However, it was rescheduled to release later in 2020.
