The Pakistani showbiz industry has a lot of talented stars. The drama industry continues to bring new and refreshing talent to our TV screens. However, not all Pakistani actors are very good at their jobs. Most of the stars in big projects are either mediocre or just boring. Be it nepotism or just good looks, these Pakistani actors are not popular due to their acting skills.
Let’s take a look at some of the actors that are desperately in need of acting lessons.
Adeel Chaudhry
This Pakistani actor has worked in Bollywood, Lollywood, and is recently starring in popular dramas on Geo Entertainment. Fans are not happy with the actor’s poor dialogue delivery as well as his ‘limited’ expressions. People think his blank expressions ruin the intensity of a dramatic scene.
The Botox treatment he did to his face is not helping either. We can’t think of a single memorable role by Adeel Chaudhry. The main problem people have with Adeel Chaudhry is that he underplays all the characters he plays on TV. Something that he needs to work on.
Armeena Khan
Armeena Rana Khan is an ‘experienced’ actress who has worked in international projects. Aside from her looks, she doesn’t have the skills to add any depth to make her character relatable. The only time fans liked Armeena’s performance was when she played the lead in Mohabbat Ab Nahi Hogi. The only reason people like her in that role was because the character was too plain and boring.
Other than that, her performances are the same irrespective of the character she is playing. In the latest drama serial Mohabbatein Chahatein, Armeena failed to bring out the negative aspect of her character. In her attempts, Armeena only made her character more annoying! We did like her in those hilarious Ufone commercials but that isn’t saying much.
Emaad Irfani
Emaad Irfani is a popular Pakistani actor in the showbiz industry. He has played many talked-about roles in recent times, both positive and negative. However, he is far from being the best actor in the industry. His dialogue delivery is boring, and he doesn’t know how to express anger or regret with his face.
Emaad Irfani has but a few expressions in his repertoire that gets him all the leading roles. The actor definitely needs to expand his acting range as fans grow tired of his same ‘suave’ looks and expressions.
Areeba Habib
Areeba Habib played one of the central character in Jalan and her performance was just ‘plain’ and boring. There were several intense moments in the drama serial that badly exposed Areeba Habib’s limited acting skills.
She’s another actor who cannot give good facial expressions following cosmetic surgeries. Other than that she relies heavily on the director’s cues. As a result, all her ‘intense’ scenes seem fake than realistic.
Asad Siddiqui
Asad Siddiqui’s underwhelming and monotonous performances make him one of the most mediocre actors in the Pakistani showbiz industry. Even after working in several drama serials, Asad doesn’t have one ‘decent’ performance to his name.
It is almost as if he’s content with his mediocre status in the showbiz industry. He is, after all, married to Zara Noor Abbas. It is no surprise as to how he got in the industry. He continues to get such good TV projects despite of his horrible acting skills.
Zara Noor Abbas
Of course, since Asad Siddiqui can get big roles, his wife should have no trouble taking every major role in the showbiz industry. Zara comes from a showbiz family with her aunt being the veteran actress Bushra Ansari. It is one of the reasons why Zara is able to land so many prominent roles in the drama industry. However, fans are not happy with her performances. People think that Zara tends to be ‘overdramatic’ in her roles.
Zara’s performances never felt natural or spontaneous. In her recent roles, Zara Noor Abbas has completely failed to change her tone as well as her dialogue delivery. The actress is least bothered about her performances as any criticism fans have against her is deemed ‘unfair’ by her aunt Bushra Ansari.

Shehroz SabzwariÂ
Another actor who comes from a showbiz family, Shehroz Sabzwari is a mediocre actor. The only time he was likeable was in the drama serial Mana Ka Gharana. However, Shehroz has done very little to live up to fan’s expectations. The actor is already under public scrutiny for his infamous divorce with Syra Yousuf and extra-marital affair with Sadaf Kanwal. The actor is desperate to get back in the good graces of fans with his onscreen performances.
Shehroz has done little to improve his monotonous acting and bland expressions. The actor and his new wife were heavily criticized for their mediocre performance together in a recent Eid special.
It is a mystery as to how Naveen Waqar has managed to stay relevant in the showbiz industry for such a long time. What is even more surprising is the fact that Naveen is part of the blockbuster drama serial Humsafar. While Mahira and Fawad went on to become superstars, it is no surprise to see why Naveen did not experience a similar career trajectory
The actress has the same confused expressions in every single scene. Her recent drama serial, Chalawa is mediocre as well with fans complaining that the actress is not ‘natural’ in her portrayal.
Mikaal Zulfiqar
It is safe to say that Mikaal Zulfiqar has grown comfortable playing the same ‘flawed husband’ over and over again! The actor fails to bring anything new or interesting to his character. Mikaal’s dialogue delivery remains the same no matter which drama he stars in. Viewers are all too familiar with his ‘loser husband’ shtick.
Mikaal Zulfiqar is a perfect example of an actor who has made a career in acting, purely due to his good looks. Perhaps, Mikaal should try his luck in more comic roles as fans love the actor’s various gimmicks in Ufone commercials.
Sanam Jung
A perfect example of an overrated actor, Sanam Jung has been part of a lot of hit drama serials over the years. However, the popular actress has not one memorable role to her name. All of Sanam’s performances are pretty much the same. Fans already know Sanam can only play the bechari role in every drama serial. The actress’s role in Mein Na Janoo is panned by fans as Sanam Jung went overboard with her whole becharapan shtick.
Props to Sanam Jung for trying something different in her new drama serial Qarar. The actress fails to have any subtle quality about her character, instead, she tries to hard to play the bubbly and carefree part of her character. The character ends up becoming more annoying instead of charming. Sanam Jung is just a perfect example of an actress trying too hard.
