These Pakistani Celebrities Don’t Support Giving Charity in Front of Cameras

Do you agree with them?

Charity is a noble deed. But so many people these days have made it into a publicity stunt. Especially in these crucial times of lockdown, people (mostly celebrities) have been trying to raise awareness on charity through social media.

However, that process may have both negative than positive aspects. We often see how celebs post pictures and videos of themselves while making donations. But they don’t realize that it’s only adding praises to their names. Or maybe these celebs think that by doing so, others will be inspired to help out others.

There’s another factor to consider about giving out charity in public. The ones who take that donation get hit on their self-respect because they have no other way to feed their families. And people take advantage of their vulnerability for the sake of a few praises and fame on social media.

Because of these reasons, a lot of Pakistani celebrities have voiced their concerns on the matter and have asked others in the field not to show off their donations on social media.

Faysal Quraishi

Faysal Quraishi made his stance loud and clear. He requested others not to take pictures and videos of the ones who take donations. This won’t help you to get your 5-minute fame on social media, but it will help your soul.

Vasay Chaudhry

Actor and writer Vasay Chaudhry also took some time to remind us that charity should be done for humanity and Allah. Not for social Instagram stories and videos.

Amanat Ali

Singer Amanat Ali took a religious note on the topic and emphasized the importance on neeyat (intention). He said that if our intentions are pure than we will definitely get rewarded from Allah and that’s what matters. Because it’s between you and your God. Making it a hot news topic on social media shouldn’t be a priority at all.

Anoushay Ashraf

Anoushay Ahsraf herself started a drive for donating rations, however, the good things is that she kept the identities of the recipients hidden. Social media can definitely help to approach a larger group of people to make donations without the need for advertising it.
