With the advent of the winter season, a fresh wave of street crimes has hit Karachi. Thieves and looters take to the streets of the port city after the sunset, and even the posh areas of the city are not safe.
A group of shrewd thieves has been active in Karachi’s Defence area. They break into the parked cars and take away stereos and other valuables. Most of the incidents have been reported in DHA Phase VI and VII.
Such an act was caught on the CCTV cameras on January 2. It is evident from the footage (below) that the thief is an expert and a habitual offender.
All it took him was a few minutes to smash the car’s window and rip the stereo out of the dashboard. He escaped the scene apparently unnoticed.
