This Coronavirus Mask Can Be Yours For Only $1.5 Million

Are you looking forward to getting this?

At $1.5 million, Israeli jewelry company Yvel is working on what it claims will be the most expensive coronavirus mask in the world.

The mask will be made of 18-karat white gold and further decorated with 3,600 white and black diamonds. It can also be fitted with top-rated N-99 filters, at the request of the buyer.

Isaac Levy, the owner of the company and designer of the mask, says that his creation was specially ordered by a customer who Levy did not identify.

As for his demands, the designer said that the buyer only had two. The first, that it be completed by the end of the year and the second that it be the priciest in the world.

According to Levy, the second condition “was the easiest to fulfill.”

Despite the glamour it provides, the mask in question won’t be an easy wear. It promised to weigh around 270 grams (over half a pound) which is almost 100 times that of a typical surgical mask.

The designer spoke about the ostentatious cost of the mask and the idea of it being such a luxurious item when many are struggling to survive in these times.

“Money maybe doesn’t buy everything, but if it can buy a very expensive COVID-19 mask and the guy wants to wear it and walk around and get the attention, he should be happy with that,” Levy said.

He also said that although he would never wear it himself, he was grateful for the income it provided.

“I am happy that this mask gave us enough work for our employees to be able to provide their jobs in very challenging times like these times right now,” he said.
