‘Barber on Wheels’ is exactly what it sounds like, a mobile barber service. You make an appointment and a hairdresser shows up at your house all suited up.

This startup ‘Barbers on Wheels’ sounds the same, except it ensures that people get haircuts with all possible precautions to ensure the coronavirus doesn’t spread. it’s a startup that has risen to the occasion amidst the COVID-9 pandemic.

The barbers sterilize all tools throughout the haircut and wear full-body protective suits.

The haircuts happen in an outdoor setting to prevent the hairdresser from bringing in contaminants from outside. Clients are even required to keep a mask on while the haircut is happening.

For now, this service is only available for men.

Rates

Given their emphasis on personalized service and a safety-first approach, their rates may seem a tad higher than what you pay your regular barber. There’s no price too high for ensuring one’s safety however.

Here are their rates:

  • Cutting – Rs 700
  • Beard Trimming – Rs 500
  • Beard and hair cutting combo – Rs 1000

Currently this service seems limited to Lahore. With Ramzan, and eventually, Eid fast approaching, expect an influx of similar services all over the country.
