Thor Famed Irish Actor Ray Stevenson Dies at Age 58

No cause of death is revealed.

Ray Stevenson, an actor who appeared in RRR and the Thor films died, his publicist Nicki Fioravante confirmed to CNN. The Irish actor starred in films like Punisher: War Zone, King Arthur, The Thor films, and shows such as HBO’s Rome and the upcoming Ahsoka series died on Sunday in Italy. He was 58.

No additional information about the cause of his death was revealed yet.

Ray began his career appearing on TV shows in the 1990s and then began landing action roles in Hollywood films starting in the 2000s. His first major film role came in Antoine Fuqua’s 2004’s adventure movie King Arthur.

He most recently starred in the 2022 Oscar-winning film RRR as the villainous Scott Buxton. The movie won the Oscar for best original song and was the second highest-grossing film in India in 2022.

The actor married Ruth Gemmel in 1997 before the couple split in 2005. He is survived by two children, Sebastiano Derek Stevenson and Leonardo George Stevenson, whom he shared with partner Italian anthropologist, Elisabetta Caraccia.
