Spanish actress Clara Galle showcased a vibrant pink three-piece ensemble at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival that effortlessly combined two of this season’s hottest trends—barbiecore and mermaidcore.
The young starlet made her stunning red carpet debut at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, just a month before the premiere of her upcoming film Through the Sea. Galle opted for a crop top, a long skirt with a dramatic mermaid tail, and a cropped jacket, designed exclusively for Clara by the Italian brand GCDS.

The chic outfit drew inspiration from the looks showcased by the Milan-based fashion house for the upcoming fall/winter 2023 season during Fashion Week earlier this year.
Some of the pieces in this collection paid homage to the French fashion house founded by Coco Chanel, reflecting its influence on the brand’s creative direction. This tribute was clearly evident in the tweed fabric and tailoring of Clara Galle’s look.
The focal point of the ensemble was the barbiecore trend, evident in the vibrant pink hue that dominated the garments. The skirt, selected by Clara’s stylist Freddy Alonso, featured an ankle-length design with a pronounced mermaid tail, adding an extra touch of glamour to the overall look.
The design incorporated a back dart for a tailored fit, accentuating the curves of the Spanish diva. The closure featured three pink rhinestone buttons with the brand name, showcasing GCDS’s attention to even the smallest details.
