Romaisa Khan is another TikTok star who has fallen victim to the dreaded ‘leaked video’ scandal. While many of her fans and followers took to her defense last week, the ‘Masters‘ actress was yet to give her statement on the matter. Yesterday, the young star took to her social media account to finally break her silence.
Romaisa Khan is a Pakistani TikTok star with 3.6 million fans on her account. She gained popularity through her humorous videos and has turned into a social media sensation. In a short span of time, she has bagged many projects for big-name Pakistani brands.
The star has also made her debut in a Pakistani drama Masters which is airing on Express TV. On her Instagram account, where she currently has 1.1 million followers, the star posted a video. In it, she explained the whole story behind her leaked video scandal.
Romaisa said:
For the past 10 days, people have been spilling dirt on me and putting allegations on me that one of my videos has leaked on social media.
She further added that people put a label on her without any proof and further defamed the TikTok star.
The only reason I stayed silent was because my self-respect is important to me, and I knew you guys would not believe me if I said ‘that’s not me’.
Romaisa Khan further added that its not her who is on the video. Rather, it is Colombian actress Yuri Vargas’ video that was first posted in 2018. She also added that she agrees she might look like the 32-year-old, but the fact that people believed it was her, without any investigation, was beyond her.
