Looks like rapper Travis Scott is ready to step into the squared circle to make his World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) in-ring debut.
What started as a celebrity cameo is now shaping up to be a full-blown wrestling career, with Travis Scott reportedly joining WWE’s new top heel faction alongside the Final Boss Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, and an “evil” John Cena.
Travis Scott everyone by surprise with his appearance at Elimination Chamber, where his slap reportedly ruptured Cody Rhodes’s eardrum. While the incident drew criticism backstage, it seems WWE is doubling down on Scott’s role.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Travis Scott isn’t just another guest star—he’s a key player in WWE’s main villainous group. “The thing is, like, he’s in the main group,” reported Dave Meltzer. “It’s like the main heel group is The Rock, Travis Scott, and John Cena. He’s not just some celebrity who happened to be there for the angle … he’s in the lead heel group, yeah.”
The “Sicko Mode” rapper is reportedly training with Hall of Famer Booker T at his Reality of Wrestling school in Houston, Texas. AEW star Swerve Strickland, who spent time with Scott at a charity event in January, confirmed the rapper’s enthusiasm.
“I was on the golf course with Travis not that long ago. He was telling me, ‘I’m excited, man, I’m training with Booker T. This is gonna be wild,’” Strickland shared on The Bootleg Kev Podcast. “He was more wanting to talk about wrestling than music.”
