Zee Music Falsely Accuses ‘Tere Bin’ OST to be Copied From Indian Content

The accusation resulted in the removal of several episodes from YouTube.

Lollywood often accuses Bollywood of blatantly copying the content of Pakistani dramas and even music. And once again the fight against plagiarism has started among the neighboring countries but this time, Zee Music indicated that the OST of the blockbuster drama Tere Bin is a copy of the chorus section of ‘Mera Intkam Dekhegi’ from the film Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana.

The claim resulted in the removal of OST and several episodes from YouTube. However, the allegation turned out to be false, and the OST has been reinstated.

Geo Entertainment’s latest hit, Tere Bin, starring Yumna Zaidi and Wahaj Ali as the lead roles, has been a massive success for the channel. It has received remarkable television ratings and trended online for each episode even across the border.

Additionally, the OST was also a major hit on every major platform, receiving 15 million views on YouTube alone.

After the recent claim by Zee Music, some people did point out the similarities between the two songs, but the response has been overwhelmingly in the Pakistani serial’s defense. Fans are enraged, calling it an injustice. Some claimed the reason was jealousy since the OST and serial were performing well in India on YouTube.

None of Zee Music and Geo Entertainment issued an official statement regarding this matter.
