Yesterday, someone shared a pretty ordinary picture on Twitter. But the caption that accompanied that picture has got many people outraged, prompting many people to do soul searching about what our teachers meant to us.

The photo got 3.7K retweets, But most people were angry that the tweet was a pathetic attempt at portraying teachers as objects.

In fact many women were the ones most irked by the idea of objectifying women’s bodies. Why do this to yourself, they ask:
Im all 4women empowerment and empowering other ladies through a profession. But y r we so obsessed 2sexualise everything that women do?! esp when we r trying 2move away from body shaming , grooming & living in an instagram filter?! Can we keep this tone out please esp as a woman https://t.co/uLnpHyPpAb

Just in case someone thought that the person who sent that tweet may not have meant what their tweet implied, well there’s no doubt now. The person that posted the picture with that caption really intended for it to be suggestive:

Some people also came to the conclusion that the account was a fake one.
