Twitterati Expose Fake Pakistani Fangirl of Virat Kohli

Another shameless Indian publicity stunt.

Netizens have exposed another shameless Indian publicity stunt using a fake Pakistani fangirl to promote Virat Kohli.

While many of us were thrilled to witness Shaheen Afridi outclass Virat Kohli at Pallekele, one alleged Pakistani fan was disappointed. A recent viral clip featuring a female fan at the 2023 Asia Cup match between Pakistan and India raised a few eyebrows online.

Indian media had widely circulated the clip, portraying the woman as a die-hard Pakistani fan of Virat Kohli, but it has now been revealed that the so-called Pakistani fangirl is, in fact, an Indian influencer.

In the viral video, the woman was seen sporting both India and Pakistan flags on her cheeks, and she appeared to be wearing a combination of green and white attire, seemingly in support of Pakistan.

However, she  made it clear that she only came to the match to witness Virat Kohli’s score a century, a statement that quickly gained attention and was promoted on Indian social media platforms, with some using it as a testament to Kohli’s immense popularity.

Pakistani Twitterati were skeptical about this so-called fan as one netizen delved deeper into the matter and uncovered a rather cringey Indian TikTok reel, featuring this fake Pakistani fangirl selling canned milk, or dudu as she would say, at a local Indian grocery store.

This is just another shameless publicity stunt to promote Indian players, and downplay Pakistani stars on social media. Ironically, this fake Pakistani fangirl’s support for Kohli didn’t help him much on the field as Shaheen Afridi bowled him out in the Asian Cup thriller.
