Two TikTokers Arrested in Karachi for Impersonating a Whole Police Station

When TikTok goes too far.

TikTok Arrest

The world of Tiktok sometimes seems like it’s getting out of control. But what else can we expect from a gang of 13-year-olds who own a smartphone but don’t know how to use smartly?

In a rather bizarre case, two Tiktok users from Karachi landed in jail after their video went viral.

Recently, two TikTokers were arrested in the Pehlwan Goth area of Karachi for simulating a police station.

Social media-related arrests aren’t out of the ordinary in Pakistan. In an earlier case, two influencers were arrested for violating the sanctity of Mazar-e-Quaid. In another case, a young boy was arrested for showing off a weapon in one of his videos. And to top it off, another ‘star’ was arrested for carrying drugs outside a police station for a video.

The recent arrest that was made by Gulistan e Jauhar Police revealed that the TikTok studio in Pehlwan Goth had a fake police station, police uniforms, and even a fake jail cell. Maybe they were auditioning for an episode of CSI Karachi, exclusively on TikTok.

The two Tiktokers made the video in a police uniform, thereby violating the sanctity of it. Following the episode, police took them into custody on May 15th. Their TikTok studio has also been sealed till further notice.
