United Nations Youth Ambassador, Aliza Ayaz got married in a UK wedding and it was quite an occasion. The youth representative had a ‘green wedding’. No, we don’t mean a color scheme, we mean a fully sustainable, eco-friendly event.
Aliza Ayaz is a well-known blogger and UN Ambassador whose luxe choices and fashionable outfits rule the United Nations offices. This year, she’s also UK’s first bride to wear a custom haute couture Zuhair Murad outfit at her wedding. On July 24th, England was the country that Aliza Ayaz and her beau Haaris Ahmed chose to take their vows. The one-week-long wedding took place in locations representing the richness of Yorkshire fields.
The bride did not compromise on glam despite cutting back the carbon footprint. According to the bride, she hired make-up artist and hair-stylist Samira Kausar who specializes in Asian Bridal. As one of Leeds’s top and highly sought-after Asian bridal hair and MUA, Samira has over 10 years of experience in the wedding industry.
She has trained with the international celebrity makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic, Kim Kardashian’s makeup artist. She has a passion for makeup that allows her to create innovative signature looks that in itself is a statement. Her style of makeup is often described as fresh, flawless, elegant.
However, a separate hair stylist did Aliza Ayaz’s hair. Eraim Bi has been hairstyling for the past six years in the wedding industry. Eraim has been trained by numerous artists which has allowed her to pick her own unique looks, one of which is specializing in Hollywood waves. Eraim excels in creating classic timeless hairstyles working with each client to achieve their dream look.
The Dholki
The Dholki set-up was a laid-back event with dried flowers and breezy tents in the sun.
The Mehendi
The decor at the Mehendi ceremony was elegant and sublime with a Pastels theme.
Meanwhile, the bride and groom dawned stunning mint green and silver combinations that shone even in the darkest of settings. The groom’s Sherwani was made by Ayaz’s private tailor and sought-after Lahori menswear designer Jehanzeb, co-designed by Aliza’s mother.
Aliza wore Erum Khan Cutuore’s bespoke 3 piece “Minty Love”. We are absolutely loving this couple’s photoshoot in a forest!
The Sangeet
Cherry blossoms sweetened the Sangeet. While desserts were served throughout the day!
The mint green, glamorous Erum Khan Couture dress was worn beautifully with the dupatta acting as a veil. The bride’s family attires wielded glamour so well, shaping it to a quintessential blend of the contemporary and the traditional.
On the groom’s side, there was so much to love, so many details that were dazzling.
The Mayun
The Mayun, Dholki and Post-wedding brunch outfits were designed by renowned designer Mohsin Naveed Ranjha. Aliza’s sister Dania Ayaz and mother Dr. Rana Najmi wore attire in matching shades with embellished crystalis and embroideries.
The Haldi
Aliza stuck to traditional theme of wearing yellow for her Haldi and an orange outfit for the Mayoun that usually is considered as an offbeat colour for brides.
The Nikkah
Aliza dedicated her Nikkah look to her elders. Her “Baba ki Rani” hand embroidered veil displays the close, loving bond of the bride and father. Aliza wore her Mother-in-law’s own wedding dress – such a special gesture. How amazing is it that her MIL chose to share such a special dress with her daughter to be.
The Wedding
The bride’s wedding gown is a one-of-a-kind Zuhair Murad and one look, and you can tell that everything is custom-made and personalized with beautiful handmade embroidery work. Take our word for it – the stunning outfit weighed 40kgs. After multiple ideation zoom meetings and sketches, the larger-than-life gown was created with Swarovski crystals. Aliza wore the dress with custom jewelry and a veil that was 10 meters long.
The Reception
Aliza chose a simple hair down look with her natural hair. Loving that color and pearl details!
