Netizens are shook as Pakistani social media influencer Hina Daniyal Malik passed away from a stroke. As per the family, her death could have been avoided had she received medical treatment on time.
The vlogger would promote local sellers and businesses, unlike other fashion vloggers that endorse mainstream brands.
According to the deceased’s sister, she was not provided treatment in time after suffering from a stroke. Hina’s sister took to Instagram to share a video narrating the tragedy. Initially, when the YouTube content creator started showing signs of a stroke her husband called her sister instead of directly taking her to a medical facility.
“A day before my sister passed away, her husband called me and said, ‘Hina is sick, please come over’_, I took it as a normal sickness and reached their place. After reaching there I saw her in a terrible and deteriorating condition as she had a brain stroke, and she was losing her movements.”
Later when the family took her to the hospital, they were refused treatment due to funds. The hospital required that the family pay the full amount for a procedure, that would have saved her life, in advance.
“We took her to the hospital where they suspected a clot in her brain. They said that a procedure could be done to open the vein of the brain but it would only be started when you will pay 11 lac rupees. We were agreed to do half payment in advance as we didn’t have that much money, initially, but they didn’t agree and we moved her to another hospital where they first shifted her to the ICU as she was in bad condition. Then they placed her on a ventilator. The next day, she passed away in the morning at 6:00 am on 11th June.”
Hina Daniyal Malik’s sister then asked everyone to extend prayers for the social media influencer.
“We are in grief of the loss of our sister who was too young (to have passed). Kindly pray for her, she was an active and a grateful person. She was doing philanthropic sort of work by promoting local sellers”.
Her family voiced how the YouTuber would make an effort to support local businesses. Even, calling her work philanthropic. Yet, Hina Daniyal Malik was not dealt the same kindness from the world when she needed it.
