Upcoming Drama Serial ‘Qalandar’ to Highlight Parent-driven Sibling Rivalry

These issues among relatives are often ignored by parents and society.

The upcoming Geo Television drama serial, Qalandar, will reportedly revolve around a mainstream societal issue — misunderstandings and differences between siblings or other relations that are often ignored by parents and society.

There is a dire need to address these issues because this eventually affects mental health and leads to family conflicts, social isolation, and violence.

7th Sky Entertainment, which is producing the serial, posted a short clip of it as a teaser. In this video, two brothers — Muneeb Butt (Tabrez) and Ali Abbas — were treated differently by their parents on the basis of wealth.

Here is the video:

Qalandar is produced by Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi, written by Samra Bukhari, and directed by Saima Waseem.

Its cast includes Muneeb Butt, Komal Meer, Ali Abbas, Hiba Aziz, Asma Abbas, Kashif Mehmood, Noor ul Hassan, and Fajar Khan.

The essence of the serial is that if you have firm faith in Allah and if you believe that as long as you haven’t harmed another person, you won’t be harmed either, and in the end, you will be dealt with good.
