Usman Mukhtar Contracts Corornavirus as Pakistan Braces For Second Wave of COVID-19

Pakistani actor and filmmaker, Usman Mukhtar has been diagnosed with COVID-19. Taking to his Instagram stories, the Sabaat actor revealed he is battling the virus after testing positive recently and also requested his fans to pray for his speedy recovery.

“Guys I’ve been tested positive for COVID-19. Thankfully I am also tested positive for having awesome people like you to pray for my health. Please keep me in your prayers and safe space. This isn’t over yet.”

Pakistan faces second wave of COVID-19

As per the reports, new cases have sparked fear of second wave of coronavirus in Pakistan On Wednesday, October 28, Pakistan reported over 800 new cases in the past 24 hours.

The Health Ministry is afraid that the second wave of the deadly virus has already begun in the country. Dr Faisal Sultan, special assistant to the PM Imran Khan on health announced that we are at the brink of another wave of COVID-19 and the mortality rate has also increased.

“A few weeks ago we were getting 400 to 500 cases per day, but now it has increased to 700 to 750 cases. Moreover, the mortality rate has also increased. Another ratio which is considered is percentage positivity that remained less than 2%, but now it has reached close to 3%.”

Amid the surge in the number of COVID-19 cases, the government has re-imposed partial lockdown. People are requested to follow necessary precautions and avoid large gatherings.
