Usman Mukhtar achieved another milestone as his short horror film Gulabo Rani won the Best Short Film award at the LA Sci-fi Film Festival 2022. The actor shared the news on his social media account.
He captioned,
Alhamdulillah Super Happy to announce that Gulabo Rani has won Best Short Film at the L.A SCI-FI & HORROR FILM FESTIVAL!!!!! Super proud of the entire team!!!
Gulabo Rani is a short horror film that revolves around a haunted hostel. The trailer reveals a dark, menacing spirit that is tormenting the youngsters residing in an abandoned boarding house. “The main work of haunting is done by the living,” reads the film’s tagline.

Usman’s directorial is produced by him along with friend and actor Meiraj Haq backed by their production house named Terrestrial Studios.
Gulabo Rani stars Usama Javaid Haider, Meiraj Haq, Daniyal Khaqan Afzal, Omer Abdullah Khan, and Natasha Humera Ejaz in pivotal roles. Khushal Khan Khattak also has a cameo role in the film.
Usman Mukhtar is one of the most talented artists in the Pakistani film industry. He previously made his directorial debut with the short film Bench which featured him along with actor and model Rubya Chaudhry. The film also won the Best Short Film Award at the South Shore Film Festival in New York.
